Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV)
Isn’t it great to know that who we were is no longer who we are? The very second you accept Jesus as your Savior he washes all your sins away. He takes it from us and nails it to His cross. And the best part is Jesus will never use those sins against us again. We are truly “born-again” because we enter this world again sin-free. Does that mean we won’t sin anymore? Of course not as long as we are in this world we will always have the carnal nature that causes us to sin. We are to strive to walk the Christian Life and to follow the commandments that Jesus has given us. We will all stumble and fail, no matter how long your walk with the Lord you are still human. All we must do is acknowledge our sins and repent them to Jesus and he will take care of the rest. Don’t be discouraged by your stumbling, the walk with Christ is not an easy path. But, the reward is worth the trials we must endure.
Has then what is good become death to me? Certainly not! But sin, that it might appear sin, was producing death in me through what is good, so that sin through the commandment might become exceedingly sinful. 14 For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am carnal, sold under sin. 15 For what I am doing, I do not understand. For what I will to do, that I do not practice; but what I hate, that I do.
